The Great Wee Nature Treasure Hunt
Mindfulness Walk
These special treasure hunts involve ten challenges that mainly involve identifying native flora and fauna in the locality being explored. Created for our Regenerative Communities Pilot as a competition they can be used anytime by schools, groups and families.
Benefits of exploring local
The nature treasure hunt is a way for you and your family to slow down and notice and enjoy more what’s around us. It is particularly designed for local nature reserves but can be used in a variety of settings. Our hope is that it will add value to daily walks that we are taking during this season of new life. Created for lockdown or anytime it is a fun way for the whole family to learn and connect with nature that’s all around us - from our local parks, reserves, waterways, forests and beach.
“A great idea & should be lots of fun for families wanting to get out & about to explore. I particularly like the idea of kids/people lying down & just listening quietly to the sounds of nature.”
